Judo in Schools
Ippon Judo London provides breakfast, curricular, lunchtime and after-school sessions for many primary and secondary schools across west London. Coaching over 500 pupils a week, we tailor our classes to match the age and skills of our students. Following the British Judo Association's recommended syllabus, all pupils are assessed regularly. Students are taught basic Japanese judo terminology and techniques appropriate to their ability. All are encouraged to progress through the Sho, Mon and Kyu grades and to adhere to the The Judo Code which promotes respect, self-discipline, fair play and friendliness.
Step 1
A complimentary introduction is provided to all new schools, giving a brief explanation and demonstration of the Olympic sport of judo. Many schools find their assembly the most convenient time for this. |
Step 2Following the introduction to judo, we offer a series of taster sessions in the school. This allows the students to have a go for themselves and really get to grips with a modern martial art. |
Step 3Once the pupils have experienced judo for themselves, the majority of schools will request a further block of judo or ask us to start a weekly Judo Club on the premises. |

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
"I highly recommend Ippon Judo Club, led by our former PE teacher, Charlotte Potter. As Headteacher of the Swedish School in London, I can attest to her skills and dedication. Charlotte creates a supportive and disciplined environment where children thrive, build confidence, and develop a love for judo. Her ability to connect with children and her expertise in the sport make her club an excellent choice for parents seeking high-quality judo instruction for their children." Jenny Abrahamsson, Head Teacher of The Swedish School London
