The Benefits of Judo
What is Judo?
Judo is a grappling martial art and an Olympic sport. It was the inspiration of Jigoro Kano and was founded in Japan. Judo means the "gentle way" as there is no kicking or striking involved. It is one of the safest contact sports. Judo caters for everyone and is a great way to keep fit and healthy as important life skills are taught in a fun, exciting and positive environment. Every class is structured and incorporates age appropriate activities, co-ordination exercises as well as basic judo techniques. All improve physical literacy and positive mental attitude. These skills help judoka become focused students, better listeners, and more confident and ambitious individuals. |

"This judo club feels like a family to me and I'm so glad I'm apart of Ippon Judo London. I enjoy the various techniques we learn and the environment created by the coaches - a place where we can have fun and work hard. I've had so many opportunities from Ippon Judo London from masterclasses taught by Olympians and club visits to competitions and coaching (no pressure if you don't want to do them though). I always feel welcome and supported here and it makes me so grateful that judo was offered at my school and I joined. Thank you Charlotte and Seb. :)" Yva B
