CODE OF CONDUCT FOR PLAYERS
1. Players must hold a valid and current BJA judo licence.
2. Respect coaches, club mates and parents at all times.
3. Always ask permission before leaving the judo mat.
4. Use the toilet before the lesson begins.
5. Judo kits must be clean and an appropriate size in competition and training.
6. Girls must wear a clean white t-shirt under their jacket.
7. Footwear must be worn off the mat.
8. Players must be clean and finger nails trimmed for lessons.
9. Long hair must be tied back to avoid injury.
10. Players should follow fair play and respect the decisions of coaches, volunteers and officials.

1. Never force your child to take part in a judo class or competition.
2. Celebrate hard work and good performances; not just medals.
3. Use correct and proper language at all times .
4. Encourage your child to learn and follow the rules of judo (fair play).
5. Respect instructor's method of teaching.
6. Avoid conflicts with officials and coaches publicly.
7. Keep noise level to a minimum during training sessions.
8. Provide positive support and encouragement to your child.
9. Discourage children from rule violations and prohibited substances.
10. Never punish or belittle a child for losing.
